    About Francesca

Being both a public school music education teacher and administrator for over 30 years, I can honestly say that I have never had a student that has not gone beyond what they thought they would ever accomplish. If you set the standards high, students will achieve it because they  have been given the tools to do so. Talent is not the most important part of being a performer, whether you want to just learn how to sing, be chosen for leads in musicals or be more confident in everything that you do. Performing takes lots of hard work and dedication on your part. Becoming an independent musician, whether it is vocally or instrumentally, will open so many more doors for you rather than relying on your private teacher getting those parts for  you. Music reading does not happen over night, but it does happen with steady practice and guidance.
In my years as a music education teacher, I have traveled all over the United States with my choirs, bands, dance ensembles and theatre groups, always placeing in the top 3 both state wide and nationally. These groups were made up of all types of students, who to this day still remain in contact with each other and me. My students are not only extremely successful as performers (Gretchen Gustafson - lead vocalist for White Ford Bronco - Washington D.C., Karl Chmielewski - Blue Man Group and Aaron Chmielewski - recording engineer for Phil Vassar and Reba MacIntyre), but they are music teachers and administrators all over the Capital District. The confidence they have gained from performing has carried over into everything they do.
